GAC, or Granular Activated Carbon, is a form of irregularly shaped activated carbon with a particle size greater than 0.2 mm (70 ASTM mesh). Due to their larger particle size compared to Activated Carbon Pellets and superior mechanical properties, GAC is primarily used in applications that involve rigorous process conditions, such as high flow rates and pressure drops. The particle size range of 0.2 - 2 mm is typically utilized for liquid phase applications because of its enhanced rate of adsorption. GAC is derived from two raw materials, namely coal and coconut shell, both of which are available in various mesh sizes and can be tailored for standard as well as customizable properties. Additionally, Activated Carbon Powder can also play a role in different applications depending on the specific requirements.

PeAC are cylindrical forms of activated carbon pellets with diameters typically ranging from 0.8 to 5 mm. They are generally produced by compressing wet mixtures of charcoal, activated carbon powder, and a suitable binder. Due to their uniform and large particle size, good hardness, and very low dusting characteristics, activated carbon p

PeAC are cylindrical forms of activated carbon pellets with diameters typically ranging from 0.8 to 5 mm. They are generally produced by compressing wet mixtures of charcoal, activated carbon powder, and a suitable binder. Due to their uniform and large particle size, good hardness, and very low dusting characteristics, activated carbon pellets are much more suitable for applications that require withstanding high pressure drops, especially in air, gas, and vapor phase applications. PeAC is derived from two raw materials, namely coal and wood, each available in various sizes and customizable properties. We have the capability to manufacture activated carbon granular pellets through steam activation and chemical activation routes. Additionally, we offer unwashed, water-washed, and acid-washed grades with tailorable adsorption properties.

Activated Carbon Powder (PAC)

PAC is a fine form of activated carbon powder with a particle size of < 0.18 mm (80 ASTM mesh) or at least 90% by weight of particles with a size of < 0.5 mm (35 ASTM mesh). Owing to their very small particle size, activated carbon powder offers certain advantages over activated carbon granular and activated carbon pellets, such as larger

PAC is a fine form of activated carbon powder with a particle size of < 0.18 mm (80 ASTM mesh) or at least 90% by weight of particles with a size of < 0.5 mm (35 ASTM mesh). Owing to their very small particle size, activated carbon powder offers certain advantages over activated carbon granular and activated carbon pellets, such as larger accessible porosity and faster mass transfer, which accounts for high adsorption rates. PAC is derived from three raw materials: wood, coal, and coconut shell, each available in various mesh sizes, unwashed/washed, and standard as well as customizable properties. We have the capability to manufacture PAC through both steam activation and chemical activation routes. We offer unwashed, water washed, and acid washed grades with tailorable adsorption properties.
